DOG TREATS FOR SHELTER DOGS

"The Loft" teens got together on December 8th to make home made dog treats for sheltered dogs. Thanks to great attendance, cooperation, and Joyce's baking, we were able to yield

84 dozen dog treats. Thanks to everyone who a attended and participated. We know the dogs will enjoy them!!!!! Check out some of the pics below................................................

Food and Blanket drive for Dogs a Huge Success

During the month of the November, the Loft hosted a food and blanket drive, to collect for shelter dogs. Thanks to your donations we were able to collect 150 lbs of blankets and 95 lbs of canned dog food. We would like to thank all of you, on the behalf of the K Nines for all of your generour donations!!!!!!

Cat Pillows for our Feline Friends

For out latest Young Adult community service project, the Loft teens hand made cat pillows to be donated to sheltered cats. All of the pillows were donated to the S.AV.E.S. organization. Thanks to all who came to participate, and I know our feline friends will appreciate being able to rest their heads a little bit easier.

Battle of the Books 2009: The Riverhead Ravens

The Riverhead Ravens (The Loft's Battle of the Books Team) has been hard at work getting ready for this years Battle of the Books Competition. Led by Coach Joyce and Assistant Coach Annie, this years team (Matt, Kristen, Rachel, Laimus, Elmais, and Lilly) are poised to smoke the competition. I got money riding on you guys, so you better!!!!

Northport Veterans Receive Memorial Day Cards from RFL Teens

In honor of Memorial Day, the loft teens made over 200 cards for the Veterans at the Northport Verterans Hospital. Our wonderful YA staff members Mrs. Sherman and Mrs. Rienzo, personally delivered the cards. Thanks for effort and creativity everyone; it was greatly appreciated by the Veterans.
